When Will the XAT 2025 Results Be Announced?
The XAT 2025 exam results are officially expected to be released on January 20, 2025. Historically, XAT results are announced within 2-3 weeks of the examination date, providing candidates ample time to evaluate their scores and prepare for the subsequent selection processes.

What is the XAT Score?
The marks obtained by a candidate based on the XAT exam pattern are called the XAT score. Simply put, it is the total marks from all four sections: Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
To calculate the XAT score:
+1 mark is awarded for every correct answer.
-0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
0.10 marks are deducted for skipping more than 8 questions.

How to Calculate the XAT Score?
Before you know how much you need your XAT score for the XAT 99 percentile, it is good to understand the key XLRI and Jamshedpur elements of converting your XAT score to one per cent. By using the XAT score calculator, you can quickly know your XAT overall and sectional score.
The XAT exam comprises a total of 99 to 100 questions. Candidates should note that leaving more than 8 questions results in a penalty of 0.10 marks for every additional 8 unattempted questions. For instance, if you leave 10 questions unanswered, a penalty of 0.10 marks will not apply for the first 8 unattempted questions but penalty of 0.1 marks will be applicable for next TWO unattempted questions i.e. 9th and 10th unattempted questions..
Necessary: Please be aware that incorrect attempts carry negative markings, which can lower your overall score and impact both the XAT sectional and overall cut-offs.
XAT sectional score vs percentile 2025
Sectional scores and percentiles hold significant importance in XAT. XLRI evaluates both sectional and overall scores of XAT candidates during the selection process. Refer to the table below for the estimated XAT section score vs percentile for 2025.
By understanding the XAT score vs percentile, candidates can estimate how many questions they need to answer to achieve a specific percentile and qualify for the following selection round. To check their score, candidates must log in to the official XAT website and download their scorecard. Note that the scorecard will only display the percentile.
